Quick Start Guide

Welcome to Ssarg Launcher! This guide will walk you through setting up your first Minecraft instance and installing modpacks from Modrinth or CurseForge in minutes.

1. Finding & Installing a Modpack

Ssarg Launcher combines Modrinth and CurseForge into a single unified search bar:

  1. Open Ssarg Launcher and click Browse or Search in the navigation bar.
  2. Type any modpack name (for example, All the Mods 10, RLCraft, or Fabrishred).
  3. Notice the platform badge at the top-left of each project card:
    • Green Badge (Modrinth): Modrinth modpack (.mrpack).
    • Orange Badge (CurseForge): CurseForge modpack (.zip).
  4. Click Install on any modpack. Ssarg Launcher will automatically download the archive and configure the Minecraft instance for you!

2. Automatic Java JDK Setup

You don’t need to manually install or switch Java versions on your computer!

  • When you click Play on an instance, Ssarg Launcher detects the required Java version (Java 8 for older Minecraft 1.12/1.8, Java 17 for 1.18–1.20.4, or Java 21 for 1.20.5+).
  • If that JDK is not installed, the 1-Click Auto-JDK Installer downloads and extracts the official Temurin JDK automatically using 8x parallel downloading.
  • A real-time progress bar shows the exact download speed and chunk progress.

3. Playing Minecraft

  1. Go to your Library tab.
  2. Click Play on your newly installed instance.
  3. Log in with your Microsoft/Minecraft account when prompted.
  4. Enjoy a smooth, ad-free Minecraft gaming experience!
